At long last, Katie's 1st upper tooth has come out. She wiggled and pushed and played with it since before Thanksgiving. I was sure that it would be out at Christmas, but finally tonight, she did it! Now she looks a bit like a hockey player. On to the next tooth so that she can sing, "All I want for my birthday are my 2 front teeth, my 2 front teeth, see my 2 front teeth..."

Katie Did It!
Hawaii, here we come!
We were pleasantly surprised when Kyle was informed on Saturday that he will be working a dermatology convention on Maui the last week of February. I quickly confirmed that Mom could squeeze in a babysitting job between trips to St. Louis and Columbus and our plans were underway. So, in less than 4 weeks, we'll be on the beaches, soaking in those tropical sun rays and enjoying the breezes on Maui. Well, I'll be doing that in the morning and Kyle will join me in the afternoons (Tues-Fri). We'll have Friday afternoon through Monday night on our own. Check out our digs at the Grand Wailea. We'll be there Mon-Sat and then move to a bed & breakfast. More to come on all of this fun!

A Long Weekend...
Well, this past weekend was one of the most relaxing and restful in a long time. We had nothing on the calendar and the forecast was calling for wind chills around -30 degrees. Kyle started a fire at 7:30 am on Saturday and we pretty much had one going until Monday night. We played games, read, watched some football, played dolls & Barbies. I think the only times that I left the house were for Mass and to pick up one of Annie's friends for a sleep-over. Talk about wonderful! (Actually, we relaxed so much that Annie's Hip Hop dance class was forgotten on Monday night!)
On the horizon for this weekend, Kyle returns from a 3 day meeting and will need to attack the mail that accumulates. Friday night, we'll go to a pasta dinner at our parish and get to a sneak preview of the renovations that have been going on since last summer. John & Annie take a standardized test Saturday morning. John begins his architecture class at the Art Center in the afternoon. I'm sure that I'll be assisting Katie and Erin in constructing their "100 Day" Posters! That means gluing on cotton balls, q-tips, pasta and all sorts of things. We'll do our best to showcase our creativity. Then, Sunday begins Catholic Schools Week. Erin and Annie will be classroom ambassadors and I think I get to man the Home & School Association information table.
